Ella Joe (C. japonica) ACS, Reg. No.2693. American
Camellia Yearbook, 2006, p56. This C. japonica chance seedling
first bloomed in 1988 and was originated and propagated by Dick Hardison of
Tallahasee, Florida. PLANT: The plant is upright with average growth
rate and blooms midseason. LEAF: Dark green leaves are 3.5 x 1.75
inches. BLOOM: The 4-inch, clear pink formal double flower has five
frosted center rows of petals. The bloom has unique color with consistent form
and falls in one piece.
