Fengcheng Zhirong

China Camellia Regn No. 2019-291. Published in China Flowers & Horticulture, 2019, No.16, p.58 with a colour photo. This cultivar was bred by Qiu Kunliang and registered by Jiang Nengmin. It was selected and bred from the seedlings of ‘Bachong Mei’, and it bloomed for the first time in 2015. The flower is purple-red, with small white spots at the tip of the petals, completely double-petaled, small to medium-sized, flower diameter 6.0～8.0 cm, more than 60 petals, arranged in more than 10 rounds, and the petals are internally buckled when they are just opened Involute, slightly concave at the apex, globular center, densely blooming. The leaves are medium green, bright, dense, leathery, small elliptical, 5.5-6.5 cm long, 3.5-3, 4.0 cm wide, main veins are obvious, lateral veins are blurred, petioles are pubescent, and leaf teeth are dense and obtuse. The plants are compact, standing, and growing vigorously. Flowering from November to January of the following year.

凤城之荣 Camellia sasanqua 'Fengcheng Zhirong'  中国茶花登录号：2019-291。《中国花卉园艺》2019年第16期58页。本品种由邱坤良培育，江能民登录。系由‘八重梅’茶梅的实生苗选育而得，2015年首次开花。花朵紫红色，花瓣先端有小白点，完全重瓣型，小到中型花，花径6.0～8.0 cm,花瓣60枚以上，呈10轮以上覆瓦状排列，刚开放时花瓣内扣，边缘内卷，先端略凹，花心呈球状，开花稠密。叶片中等绿色，光亮，稠密，革质，小椭圆形长5.5～6.5 cm，宽3.5～3、4.0 cm，主脉明显，侧脉模糊，叶柄被短柔毛，叶齿密钝。植株紧凑，立性，生长旺盛。花期11月至翌年1月份。
