Fengyun Xiaoxiang

Fengyun Xiaoxiang (C. sasanqua). China Regn. #2022-353. China Flowers & Horticulture, 2022, No.4, p.48. This cultivar was  named by Wang Xiangnan of Hunan Academy of Forestry, and registered by Wang Xiangnan, Chen Yongzhong, Liu Caixia, Li Zhigang, Peng Yinghe, etc.  Chance seedling of C. sasanqua.  The flower was observed for the first time in 2017 Flowers pink, purple tone, semi-double-petaled, medium-sized flowers, diameter 8.5~10 cm, light fragrance, 11~16 petals, inverted ovate or oblong, thin texture, slightly wrinkled, concave at the apex, stamens mostly, scattered or butterfly-shaped, occasionally a small amount of petalization, ovary coat, can be strong, capsule oval, yellow-red. The leaves are leathery, green bright, oval, 6~7 cm long, 3~4 cm wide, compact plants, vigorous growth, a wide number of flowers, flowering from November to January of the following year. 

粉韵潇湘 Camellia sasanqua 'Fengyun Xiaoxiang' 中国茶花登录号：2022-353。《中国花卉园艺》2022年第4期48页。本品种由湖南省林业科学院王湘南命名，王湘南、陈永忠、刘彩霞、李志钢、彭映赫等培育并登录，通过播种茶梅品种的种子获得的实生苗中选育而得。2017年首次观测到开花，连续多年观测其遗传性状稳定。花朵粉红色，泛紫色调，半重瓣型，中型花，径8.5～10 cm，淡清香，瓣11～16枚，倒卵形或长圆形，质地较薄，微皱，先端内凹，雄蕊多数，散生状或蝶状，偶少量瓣化，子房被毛，能结实，蒴果卵圆形，黄红色。叶片革质，绿色光亮，椭圆形，长6～7 cm，宽3～4 cm，植株紧凑，生长旺盛，花量繁多，花期11月至翌年1月。
