Fense Zhuying

Fense Zhuying (C. azalea × C. azalea F1 new hybrid 'Xiayong Guose'). Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrations of the New Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and Technology Publishing House, p.292. HAR-08-7., a cross seedling (DGS-No.14) of C. azalea × C. azalea F1 new hybrid 'Xiayong Guose'. Flowers mostly solitary, light pink to deep pink, single form, 6-7 petals which are semi- opened, slightly twisty, stamens united into a column at the base. Leaves dark green, heavy leathery, urgently cuneate at the base, margins smooth. Plant spread and growth vigorous. Starts to bloom from early-summer, fully blooms from autumn to winter and sporadically in spring. The cultivar name means “Shadows of Pink Candle”.

粉色烛影 Camellia ‘Fense Zhuying’ 。刘信凯、钟乃盛、柯欢、武艳芳主编，2023，《第二部四季茶花杂交新品种彩色图集》，浙江科学技术出版社，第292页。 HAR-08-7.杂交组合：杜鹃红山茶×杜鹃红山茶F1代新品种‘夏咏国色’，杂交苗编号：DGS-No.14。花朵多单生，淡粉红色至深粉红色，单瓣型，花瓣6-7枚，多呈半开放状态，略扭曲，雄蕊基部连生，呈筒状，花丝淡粉红色，花药淡黄色。叶片浓绿色，叶背面灰绿色，厚革质，基部急楔形，叶缘光滑。植株开张，生长旺盛。夏初始花，秋、冬季盛花，翌年春季零星开花。
