Fenzengxiu

Fenzengxiu (C. amplexicaulis × C. japonica 'Elegans'). Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrations of the New Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and Technology Publishing House, p.454. HB-12-2., a cross seedling (BYZ-No.3) of C. amplexicaulis × C. japonica 'Elegans'. Flowers pink, fading to light pink at the center, occasionally some white petaloids appeared at the center, rose-double form, medium to large size, 9.5-11.5cm across and 4.5cm deep with 25-30 large petals arranged orderly in 3-5 rows, petals occasionally wavy, bloom dense. Leaves normal green, heavy leathery, long elliptic, veins obvious, margins obtusely serrate. Plant spread, branches and leaves dense and growth very vigorous. Blooms from late-winter to the spring of following year. The cultivar name means “Adding Pink’s Beauty”.
