Fire Frost      (C. hybrid)      ACS Registration #3106. Registered in 2019. This 9-year-old C. hybrid chance seedling first bloomedin 2015. It was originated, registered and propagated by Jill and Glenn Read ofLucedale, Mississippi.  BLOOM: The small sized 6.4 cm x 4.4 cm loose peonyform flower is dark to medium pink shading to a soft frosted pink. It hasyellow anthers and white filaments. This profuse bloomer is long lasting withconsistent form and falls in one piece. The rose red buds open to pronouncedshades of stacked colors ranging from rose red to dark and medium pink andshading to a soft frosted pink with white overtones intermixed with whitepetaloids and stamens. PLANT: The planthabit is upright and dense. The growth rate is vigorous. The plant is suitablefor landscaping and exhibition uses. LEAF:The dark green leaves average 5.1 cm x 3.2 cm with low serration. BLOOM SEASON: Midseason to late.
