Verschaffelt, 1844-1845, Catalogue, p.25. No description. Burnier & Grilli Catalogue, 1846-1847: Large flower, well imbricated. ‘Angulas’ is given as a synonym, but this is considered a variation of ‘Angulans’. ‘Formosa Alba’ is illustrated and described in Verschaffelt, 1850, Nouvelle Iconographie, Book II, pl.II where it is given as an Italian seedling, pure white of faultless imbrication.
