Seibundō Shinkōsha, "Garden Life", 1975, Tsubaki to Sazanka, with colour photo inside back cover: A campanulate to cup-­shaped single of 5-6 petals, blush pink, speckled crimson, central stamen cluster with golden yellow anthers. Early to mid-season flowering. Leaves oval, medium size, acuminate, thick, smooth, shallowly, sharply serrate. Slightly fragrant.
