Fuji-no-yuki (red)

Encyclopedia of Camellias in Colour, vol.I, 1972, pl.458, p.185, description, p.362: Leaves medium green, with wide, irregular margins of creamy yel­low, lanceolate, apices sharply acuminate, bases cuneate, margins fine, sharp serrations, peti­ole hirsute. Growth spreading and weak. Flowers deep red, campanulate single, 6 petals, edges fluted, central stamen column, reddish filaments, golden anthers. Late flowering. Selected from wild camellias in the Niigata Prefecture, Japan. Named and released by Jitarō Nagao.
