Botanical and Biological Characteristics: [Plant] Shrub, with an open tree habit. [New Shoots] One bud with one leaf period in late March, one bud with two leaves in early April, buds and leaves yellow-green with hairy surface; one bud with three leaves reaches 4.2 cm, weight of 100 buds with three leaves is 24.4 g. [Leaves] Leaves are upward-angled; leaf length 7.4 cm, leaf width 2.7 cm, leaf area 13.9 cm², small leaves, lanceolate-elliptical; 8 pairs of lateral veins; leaf green, flat surface, inwardly folded blade, slightly soft leathery texture; leaf tooth sharp with high density and shallow depth, wedge-shaped base, gradually pointed tip, undulate margin. [Flowers] Full bloom in late October; 5 green sepals without hairs; corolla diameter 3.3 cm, 7 white petals; ovary with many hairs, style length 1.1 cm, trifid, positioned in the middle, pistil prominent.
