Gerald Albright (C. japonica). published in American Camellia Yearbook 2021, p. 121. Registered in 2021. ACS Registration #3286. It wasoriginated and registered by Pat B. Johnson from Cairo, Georgia, USA. A 17 yearold seedling of C. japonica 'Royal Velvet'. It was first bloomed in2010. Flower semidouble, medium to large size 10.2 cm in diameter and 7.6cm in depth, Scarlet red with yellow anthers and red filaments. Leaf mediumgreen, 7.6cm long, and 3.2 cm wide. Plant upright, open growth, averagegrowth rate. Bloom mid-season to late.
