Germaine de Kerret (C. japonica). International Camellia Journal 2014, p.151 with colour photo; European Reg. No. 84.  A 20-year-old seedling of Madame Lourmand, first flowered 1994. Originated by Roger Salaün, Châteauneuf-du-Faou, France, registered and propagated by “Stervinou”, Guipronvel, France. Plant is upright with rapid growth, with dark green, elliptic leaves, 8-9 cm x 5 cm. Flowers are white, single, 6-7 cm diameter x 3-5 cm deep. Stamens are columnar with yellow anthers and white filaments. Flowers early and for up to 5 months. Flowers fall whole.
