Yokoyama & Kirino, 1989, Nihon no Chinka, p.39, colour photo and description: Medium size, white, campanulate single with 5 wide, rounded, somewhat emarginate, over-lapping petals, a little reflexed, and a central stamen column, pinched in at the top, with white filaments and deep gold anthers. Blooms early to mid-season. Leaves dark green, flat, broad-ovate, apices abrupt acute, margins serrulate. Originated in the Chūbu area, Japan by Tōhei Takahashi of Nishio City in 1981..
