Nippon Tsubaki - Sasanqua Meikan, 1998, p.191 with colour photo; English translation p.132. Medium size, vermilion, tubular single, tapered stamen cylinder. Flowers early to late. Leaves elliptic to broadly elliptic, medium to large. Upright, dense growth. One of the wild camellias growing on Mt Kasayama in Hagi City. Displayed at the Hagi Camellia show since 1970. From Yamaguchi Prefecture.
