Seibundō Shinkōsha, 1979, Senchinshū, p.127, colour photo, description, p.242: Red single, Higo form with large, creped and crinkled petals, 8-9 cm across with 8 petals. Originated in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan as a sport of Azuma-nishiki. Synonym: ‘Benifuyō’.
