Yokoyama, 1975, Gendai Tsubaki Meikan, p.198, black and white photo: Soft pink, cup-shaped single of 5-6 petals, the pink fading to white on petal base. A compact, central column of stamens, joined at the lower third length. Blooms early to late. Leaves small, dark green, finely serrate. Originated in Kantō District, Japan as a seedling of Yukimiguruma. See Seibundō Shinkōsha, 1979, Senchinshū, pp.127, 242.
