Hongrou No. 1 (C. gauchowensis). China Regn. #2022-356. China Flowers & Horticulture, 2022, No.4, p.49. Originated and registered by Liao Boyong, Li Yongquan, Wang Longyuan, Guo Wei, Liang Guansheng from Zhongkai University of Agriculture and Engineering, China. Small trees, half-opened. Shoots green; young branches reddish brown. Leaves medium dense, arranged pinnate along branches. Leaf blade elliptic, adaxially dark green, abaxially pale green, leathery, shiny, medium thick, apex narrow and shortly caudate, base cuneate, 5.5-7.2 cm long，3.0-3.4 cm wide, glabrous, margin coarsely toothed. Petiole 0.3-0.5 cm, obliquely upward. Flower buds axillary or terminal. Sepals 5-6, imbricate, ovate, yellow, hairy. Corolla 8.0-10 cm in diameter, univalve. Petals 8-9, obovate, medium thick, apically 2-parted to 1/3, veins inconspicuous, single-colored, white inner and outer. Stamens 90-100, arrangement in Camellia sasanqua type, not petaloid. Pistils high, stigma split medium, ovary globose, villous. Capsule green, flesh red (RHS:180A). Flowering in December, lasted one month.

中国登录号：2022-356，《中国花卉园艺》2022年第4期59页。由仲恺农业工程学院的廖柏勇、李永泉、王龙远、郭微、梁关生培育并登录。小乔木，植株呈半开张，嫩芽绿色，嫩枝红褐色。枝叶近羽状排列，中等稠密。叶椭圆形，正面深绿色，背面浅绿色，叶面革质，有光泽，中等厚度，先端窄短尾尖，叶基楔形，长5.5-7.2cm，宽3.0-3.4cm，叶片无毛，叶缘粗齿状，叶柄长0.3-0.5cm，上斜着生。花芽腋生或顶生，萼片覆瓦状，卵形，黄色，5-6片，有毛；花冠直径8.0-10cm，单瓣型，花瓣厚度中等，8-9片，倒卵形，花瓣顶端1/3凹陷，花脉不明显，花瓣单色，花瓣内外层均为白色，雄蕊90-100枚，排列方式为茶梅型，无瓣化，雌蕊高，柱头裂深中等，子房球形，有绒毛。果皮绿色，果肉颜色为红色（RHS：180A）。花期12月份，持续约1月。
