Huacheng Naoshi

Huacheng Naoshi (C. japonica'Ville de Nantes' × C. azalea). Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrationsof the New Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and TechnologyPublishing House, p.76. HA-26-6., a cross seedling (NTD-No.4E-Mu) of C. japonica 'Ville de Nantes' × C. azalea. It is a mutation from the hybrid 'Yangcheng Zhiye' (See p. 246-247, ourfirst book). Flowers dark red with white marbled markings, single form, largesize, usually 11.0-12.0cm across, sometimes over 13.0cm in size, 7-9 petals,stamens united into a column. Leaves dark green, long elliptic, heavy leathery.Plant compact, upright and growth very vigorous. Starts to bloom in summer,fully blooms from autumn to winter and sporadically in spring. Thecultivar name means “Guangzhou* s Busy Streets”.

花城闹市 Camellia ‘Huacheng Naoshi’ 。刘信凯、钟乃盛、柯欢、武艳芳主编，2023，《第二部四季茶花杂交新品种彩色图集》，浙江科学技术出版社，第76页。 HA-26-6.杂交组合：红山茶品种‘白斑康乃馨’× 杜鹃红山茶，杂交苗编号：NTD-No.4E-Mu。这是‘羊城之夜’（见第一部书第246-247页）品种的突变种。花朵黑红色，具大理石白色斑纹，单瓣型，大型花，花径通常为11.-12.0cm，偶有超过13.0cm的大花朵，花瓣7〜9枚，阔倒卵圆形，雄蕊基部连生，呈柱状，花丝红色，开花稠密。叶片浓绿色，叶背面灰绿色，长椭圆形，厚革质，长9.5-11.5cm，宽3.9cm。植株紧凑，立性，生长极旺盛。夏季始花，秋、冬季盛花，春季零星开花。
