Clonal
variety. Small arbor type. Medium-leaf size. Early-sprouting.
Originated m the Luoyan village (Huqiu, Anchi county, Fujian province).
It has been cultivated for more than 100 years, and mainly distributed in the
Anchi county of Fujian province, but it is expanded to the Southern part,
middle and eastern part of Fujian province. It was introduced and cultivated in
small area in Guangdong* Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces.
Plant higher, semi-opened type with medium degree branching. Internode
rather short. Leaves inclined upwards. Length 7.8~8.5cm,width 3.2~4.〇cm. Oblong in shape with acuminate
tip and slightly rolled inwards, slightly protruding on the surface,
yellow-green in color with glossy, rather thin. 9~10 pairs of vein. Waved
margin and dense serrations. The sprouting period in the spring season appears
in the first ten days to middle of March. The peak period of shoots with one
bud and three leaves stage* appears in the first ten days of April. Shoots
yellow-green in color with sparse hairs, rather potent tenderness-keeping
ability. The weight cf 100 one bud and three leaves shoots averaged 59g. The
peak period of flowermg stage appears in the first ten days of November, with average
percentage of bearing and high resistance to various pests. The survival rate
is rather high during cutting propagation.
Rather high-yielding. In an area of 235 mu tea garden in the Luoyan
village (Huqiu, Anchi county, Fujian province), the annual yield of oolong tea
averaged 142.4kg per mu. An experimental tea garden of 8.2 mu in the Tongmai
Tea Plantation, the annual yield of oolong tea averaged 282.4kg per mu.
According to the analysis conducted by the Tea Research Institute,
Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the contents of caffeine in the one
bud and two leaves shoots averaged 3.34%, amino acids 4.64%, tea polyphenols
14.70%, total catechins 105.04mg/g. The oolong tea prepared with GSCT8 variety
as the raw material showed superb quality, it characterized by the brown-yellow-green
in color, light yellow liquor, full and sweet taste, especially the fragrant
and rapid-originating aroma, so it was named “aroma wafts to the heaven
(Tou-Tian-Shan)’’. The Wang-Jin-Gui tea is fa-mored in the domestic and abroad.
The black tea prepared with GSCT8 variety as the raw material is characterized
by its finely and uniformly rolled leaf, strong and brisk aroma as well as full
taste. It is also suitable to manufacture the baked green tea and shows superb
aroma and taste.
Suitable to popularize in the oolong tea region in South-of-Yangtze
River for the manufacture of oolong tea.
It is recommended to reduce the row space of planting, rational format
pruning during the youngling stage, so to fasten the establishment of tea
garden and cultivate the high-yielding type of bushes. The purity of variety
must be paid into attention in the process of introduction.

【产地与分布】原产福建省安溪县虎邱镇罗岩美庄,已有100多年栽培史。主要分布在福建南部。福建全省和广东、江西、浙江、江苏、安徽、湖北、四川等省有较大面积引种。1985年通过全国农作物品种审定委员会认定,编号GS13008-1985。2018年通过非主要农作物品种登记,编号GPD茶树(2018)350003。
【形态特征】 植株中等,树姿��直立,分枝较密。叶片呈稍上斜状着生,椭圆形或倒披针形,叶色黄绿,富光泽,叶面微隆起,叶缘平或微波,叶身稍内折,叶尖渐尖,叶齿较锐深密,叶质较薄软。花冠直径2.7~3.2cm,花瓣5~8瓣,子房茸毛中等,花柱3裂。
【特性】 春季萌发期早,2010年和2011年在福建福安社口观测,一芽二叶初展期分別出现于3月8日和3月24日。芽叶生育力強,发芽密,持嫩性较强,黄緑色,茸毛较少,一芽三叶百芽重59.0g。2010年、2011年在福建福安社ロ取样,春茶一芽二叶含茶多酚16.2%、氨基酸3.5%、咖啡碱3.6%、水浸出物48.0%。产量高,每667㎡产乌龙茶干茶150kg左右。适制乌龙茶、緑茶、红茶。制作乌龙茶香气馥郁芬芳,俗称“透天香”,滋味醇厚甘爽;制作红茶、绿茶,条索紧细,味香浓郁、醇厚,是制作特种绿茶和工夫红茶的优质原料。抗旱、抗寒性较强。扦插与定植成活率较高。
【适栽地区】江南茶区。
【栽培要点】注意适时进行定剪,加强水肥管理,增施有机肥,要分批留叶采摘,采养结合。
