Huohong Shuangjie (C. azalea × C.japonica   'Tama Glitters'). HA-11-4.,a cross seedling (DSS-No.4) of C. azalea × C. japonica   'Tama Glitters'. Flowers bright red, peony form, large to very largesize, 11.0-13.0cm across and 4.5-5.0cm deep with 16-21 large petals arranged in3 rows, petals broad obovate, central petaloids numerous, semi- erected andmixed with stamens. Leaves dark green, leathery, elliptic, lateral veinsblurry, cuneate at the base, margins shallowly and obtusely serrate. Plantupright, branches dense and growth vigorous. Starts to bloom from late-summer,fully blooms from autumn to winter and sporadically in spring. Thecultivar name means “Fire Red Double Festivals”.
