ACS, The Camellia Journal, Feb 1999, p.22, Reg. No.2489. A very large, orchid pink, loose peony to semi-double cross of Pop Gee x Mrs D.W. Davis Special. Flowers mid-season to late. Originated by Hyman R. Norsworthy, Beaumont, Tex., USA. American Camellia Yearbook, 1999, p.1, colour photo before p.1. The 8 year old seedling first flowered in 1993. Average flower size is 16.5 cm across x 10 cm deep, with 30-35 petals showing heavy texture, no petaloids, yellow anthers and white filaments. Plant growth is upright and vigorous with dark green leaves 10 cm long x 6.5 cm wide.
