Seibundō Shinkōsha, 1979, 1979, Senchinshū, p.201: Small, white single, tubular form, stamens cylindrical. Mid-season blooming. Leaves ovate, medium size, apex acuminate, margins undulate. Plant habit upright and vigorous. Originated in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. Note: Shizuka Gozen was a beautiful dancer of the Kamakura Era noted for her tragic love affair with Minamoto Yoshitsune.
