Nippon Tsubaki - Sasanqua Meikan, 1998, p.33 with colour photo; English translation p.21. Medium size, wisteria purple, trumpet shaped single. Fragrant. Flowers early to mid-season. Leaves narrowly elliptic, medium size. Upright, vigorous growth. Selected from seedlings of Uraku 64 by Takeo Ogawa, applied to the registration of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fishery in 1996. From Izu-ōshima, Tokyo.
