It is a large size, cherry-red, rose form double with white blotching, opening to show a few deformed anthers. The leaves are broad oval, blunt acute apex, rounded base, prominent venation, broad, shallow, blunt serrations. Blooms midseason to late. Different reading: 'Izahaya'. Resembles Arukawa. The original tree is in the Ishii Tsubaki-en, Fushimi-ku, Kyōto. Originated in the Kansai area, Japan.
