Nippon Tsubaki - Sasanqua Meikan, 1998, p.29 with colour photo; English translation p.18. A large size, peach red semi-double with cupped petals and cylindrical stamens. Flowers mid-season. Leaves elliptic, large, recurved. Upright growth. The original tree is 80 years old in a private garden in Matsuyama City. Named by Shigeichi Yagi about 1975. From Ehime Prefecture.
