Fragrant. Blooms mid-season to late. Leaves, glossy, dark green, elliptic-lanceolate, apex tapered acuminate, recurved, regularly serrate, edges somewhat rolled. Originated in Kita-kanbara-gun, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. Named and released by Tokuji Ōoka in 1966.
