ACS Registration #2954. The Camellia Journal,70(3):30 with color photo. American Camellia Yearbook, 2015, p. 141 with color photo and description. This 13-year-old C. reticulata chance seedling first bloomed in 2009. It was originated by E. Huyln Smith of Valdosta, Georgia, USA and registered and propagated by Randolph Maphis of Tallahassee, Florida, USA. Bloom: The medium to large sized 8.2cm x 6.3cm (treated 10.8cm x 7.6cm) semi-double form flower is light to medium red. It has gold anthers and white filaments. The blooms have consistent form. Plant: The plant habit is upright and open. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. Leaf: The dark green leaves average 11.4cm x 5.7cm with medium serration. Bloom season: Late.
