Jiangchun Yinqri

Jiangchun Yinqri (C.azalea × Non-reticulata hybrid 'Sweet Emily Kate'). Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrations of the New Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and Technology Publishing House, p.114. HA-56-2., a cross seedling (DTKT-No.2) of C.azalea × Non-reticulata hybrid 'Sweet Emily Kate'. Flowers red, with tiny white spots on the central petaloids, single to anemone form, small size, 6.0-7.0cm across with 5-6 petals, petals broad obovate, central petaloids erected and crowded together, which are like many lips in shape. Leaves dark green, leathery, broad elliptic, margins obtusely serrate. Plant upright and growth vigorous. Starts to bloom from early-summer, fully blooms from autumn to winter and sporadically in spring. The cultivar name means “Crimson Lips Reflected Sunlight”.
