Jim Chavaux (Camellia japonica) ACS Registration #3091. This 13-year-old C. japonica chance seedling of ‘Steve Blount’ first bloomed in 2005. It was originated, registered, and propagated by Pat B. Johnson of Cairo, Georgia. Bloom: The large sized 12.7cm x 6.35cm semi-double to loose peony form flower is light pink. It has yellow anthers and white filaments.This profuse bloomer falls in one piece, is long lasting, and has consistent form. Plant: The plant habit is upright and open. The growth rate is average. The plant is suit- able for landscaping and exhibition uses. Leaf: The medium green leaves average 10.16cm x 4.445cm with low serration. Bloom season: Early to midseason.
