Jim Dickson (C. japonica). Registered in 2021. ACS Registration #3279. It was originated and registered by Pat B. Johnson from Cairo, Georgia, USA. A 19 year old chance seedling of C. japonica 'Royal Velvet'. It was first bloomed in 2011. Flower semidouble, very large size 14.6 cm in diameter and 6.4 cm in depth, Watermelon red with yellow anthers and pink filaments. Leaf medium green, 8.2 cm long, and 3.2` cm wide. Plant upright, open growth, average growth rate. Bloom mid-season to late.
