American Camellia Yearbook, vol.II, 1974, p.235, Reg. No.1340: A 5 year old hybrid seedling of Carl Tourje x Damanao that first bloomed 1970. Originated by Truman Pearce, Shreveport, Louisiana, USA. Plant growth is upright and rapid in rate with dark green leaves, 8-10 cm long x 5-6 cm wide. The semi-double 'Herme' (Hikarugenji) type, bloom is irridescent red, bordered with light centered petals (Similar to 'Blush Betty Supreme') with light yellow anthers, 20-22 petals and a few petaloids.
