JCS., 1973, Tsubaki No,12, pl.27, p.7, description, p.15: Large, white, single, 5-8 petals with frilled and creped outer edges around a compact centre of a stamen cylinder, about 120 stamens with yellow anthers and white filaments. Early flowering. Leaves, large, 9.5 cm x 5 cm, mid-green, ovate, recurved, finely, deeply serrate, wavy on a slow growing plant. A seedling of Juraku that first flowered 1971. Resembles Ō-shiratama. Origi­nated in Kantō District, Japan by Nakamura Totsurō. See colour photo, p.80, Seibundō Shinkōsha, 1979, Senchinshū, p.224 description.

文化出版局. 1975. 《現代椿名鑑》. P136. 関東產. []白色、一重、筒咲き、小輪、34月。[]大型の楕円形で鋸歯は深く、濃緑色で、強く波曲している []主幹は立ち、枝は横張り性で強健である。[来歴]昭和39年秋、聚楽を実生した苗のうちから選んだ品種である。作出・命名は筆者による。  文/仲村
