Juhonq Yunlu

Juhonq Yunlu (C. azalea × C. azalea F1 new hybrid 'Xiangxia Hongjiao'). Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrations of the New Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and Technology Publishing House, p.318. HAR-12-6., a cross seedling (DHL-No.13) of C. azalea × C. azalea F1 new hybrid 'Xiangxia Hongjiao'. Flowers orange red, slightly fading to pink-white at the top part of petals, deep orange red at the base and the center of the petals, rose-double to peony form, large to very large size, 12.5- 14.0cm across and 6.0cm deep with 20-25 large petals arranged in 3-4 rows, 8-10 central petaloids with longitudinal white stripes and mixed with stamens. Leaves dark green, heavy leathery, long elliptic, urgently cuneate at the base, margins smooth. Plant compact, bushy and growth vigorous. Starts to bloom from mid-summer, fully blooms from autumn to winter and sporadically in spring. The cultivar name means “Orange Red Cloud Road”.
