Kölner Karneval

Kölner Karneval (C. japonica). International Camellia Journal, 2023, p. 47 European Reg. No 191 Originated by Dr. Georg Ziemes, Düsseldorf, Germany. and propagated by W. Eberts Jungpflanzenbaumschule, 25499 Tangsted/Pinneberg, Germany. Seedling of unkown parentage in 2015, first flowering in 2021. Plant: growth habit upright, spare, growth rate medium to rapid, early to mi-season flowering. Spent flowers falling whole. Flower: medium 10 x 10 cm, semi-double to peony form, white and clear red and white and sometimes dominant white with red stripes, stamens with yellow anthers and white filaments, mixed with the small central petals. Leaf: small 7.5 x 5.5 cm, flat, dark green.
