Nippon Tsubaki - Sasanqua Meikan, 1998, p.57 with colour photo; English translation p.38. Small, pale pink, tubular to bowl shaped single, rounded petals, cylindrical stamen column. Flowers early to mid-season. Leaves elliptic, somewhat plicate in the centre. Somewhat upright. A chance seedling of Shiratama, originated by Nobuo Sasai in 1980, released in 1997. From Okayama Prefecture.
