JCS., Japan Camellia, 1962, No.25, p.10, pl.5, black and white photo: Pale, peach pink with vertical red marks, campanulate single, medium to large; cylindrical stamen cluster, bucket shape, petals thick. The young branches and the main veins on the back of the leaves have luxuriant, minute hair. Blooms mid-season. A seedling from the cross C.japonica Takara-no-hana x C.sasanqua Omoi-no-mama. Originated in the Okayama Prefecture, Japan. Originated, named and released by Nobuo Sasai in 1982.
