ACRS., 1970, Camellia News, No.40, p.26, Reg. No.123: Originated by E.R. Sebire, Wandin North, Victoria, Australia. A chance seedling of ‘Crimson Robe’ (Dataohong) that first bloomed 1967. Plant habit is open, upright and vigorous. It produces 15 cm, bright red, incomplete double flowers with 16 upright, wavy petals in mid-season. The deep green leaf is 11 cm x 5 cm, reticulate with pronounced serration.
