Seibundō Shinkōsha, 1979, Senchinshū, p.40, colour photo, p.209: Small, pink, campanulate, single with irregular sized petals and a compact stamen column. Leaves elliptic, dark green, apex acuminate, margins serrate, recurved. Origi­nated in Kantō district, Japan. Synonym: ‘Nerima-tsubaki’.
