Latest Illustrated Book of Japanese Camellias, (Camellias of Japan), 2010, p.284 with colour photo; Miniature red single, tubular to trumpet shape, cluster flowering, slightly fragrant. Flowers early to mid-season. Leaves elliptic, small. Somewhat drooping growth. A cross of Kon-wabisuke x C.lutchuensis, made and released by Shuho Kirino around 1960.
