Nippon Tsubaki - Sasanqua Meikan, 1998, p.85 with colour photo; English translation p.57. Small to medium, red formal double with a single white stripe at the centre of each petal. Occasionally solid red flowers. Flowers mid-season to late. Leaves elliptic, small. Spreading growth. The original tree is being raised at Kesōji Temple in Mikawa District. Named and released by Hiroshige Hayakawa in 1980. From Aichi Prefecture.
