Yamaguchi, Tsubaki-en, Kyoto, Mail Order List, 1993-1994, No.598: Name inspired by an ancient fable of Utopia in an earthenware jar. Bright red, medium sized single, spherical to cup-shaped. White filaments. The short stamen tube is a pointed shape, joined at the top. Blooms early spring. Selected from wild camellias in Japan.
