Kunyuan Luzhu

Kunyuan Luzhu (C. reticulata). China Flowers & Horticulture, Issue 12, 2025, page 41. China Camellia Registration Number: CCRN2024010. Originated and registered by Shen Yunguang, Wang Zhonglang, Wang Xinrui, and Feng Baojun from the Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. A cultivar naturally hybridized from the Camellia reticulata ‘Zaotaohong’. A small tree, with a semi-spreading habit and moderately dense leaves. Leaves elliptical, apex narrow and short acuminate to gradually acuminate, slightly recurved, base cuneate to broadly cuneate, with prominent leaf veins on the surface. Flowers peony form, pink, with noticeable veins, flower diameter 11–13.5 cm, 24–35 petals, slightly concave apex, petals slightly wavy; numerous stamens, filaments partially fused and arranged in bundles around the center; pistils rudimentary. Flowering period January to February.

昆园露珠 Camellia reticulata ‘Kunyuan Luzhu’，《中国花卉园艺》2025年第12期41页. 中国茶花登录号：CCRN2024010。由中国科学院昆明植物研究所的沈云光、王仲朗、王新蕊、冯宝钧培育并登录。云南山茶‘早桃红’自然杂交的品种。小乔木，株型半开张，叶中等稠密。叶椭圆形，先端窄短尾尖至渐尖，下勾，基部楔形至宽楔形，叶面叶脉明显。花牡丹型，粉红色，瓣脉明显，花径11～13.5cm，花瓣24～35枚，顶端微凹，花瓣略波曲；雄蕊多数，花丝半连生，分束夹生于花心；雌蕊退化。花期1～2月。
