Itō, Ihei, 1695, Kadan Chikinshō, vol.1; Yashiro, 1841, Kokon Yōrankō; Kasuya, Kamegorō, 1859, Tsubaki Irohanayose Irotsuki: Double with 3 rows of petals. White with small spots and splashes of red. Originated in Japan. (Believed extinct.) Different reading ‘Kurohoshi’.(Believed extinct.)
