ACS Registration #2970. The Camellia Journal,71(1):30 with name and color photo. American Camellia Yearbook, 2016, p. 117 with color photo and description. This 24-year-old C. japonica virus variegated form of ‘Lady Eva May’ first bloomed in 1997. It was originated, registered and propagated by Thomas Sellers of Bolivia, North Carolina, USA. Bloom: The large to very large sized 14cm x 6.3cm (treated 17.8cm x 7.6cm) semi-double to loose peony form flower is red with white variegation. It has yellow anthers and yellow filaments. This long lasting profuse bloomer has heavy petal texture, consistent form and falls in one piece. Plant: The plant habit is upright and open. The growth rate is vigorous. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. Leaf: The dark green leaves have low serration and average 10.1cm x 5.1cm. Bloom season: Midseason to late.
