Verschaffelt, 1858, Nouvelle Iconographie, Book X, pl.I: Received from Italy two years ago. Its blossoms, nearly of the largest size, (10 cm across) belong by their regularity, to the class of perfections, and are of a delicate pink, deepest at the centre. It has numerous, small petals; those external, larger and rounded, faintly emarginate, the following ones, ovate-acute, resembling, at the centre, the heart of a rose.
