No.685: A 15 year old seedling of Finlandia Variegated x ‘Lotus’ (Gauntlettii) that first bloomed 1961. Originated by Joel J. Callison, Portland, Oregon. USA. Plant growth is spreading, open and rapid with light green leaves averaging 10 cm x 5 cm. The semi-double flower, similar to Frizzle White, is white with yellow stamens, measures 15-17 cm across x 6.0-7.5 cm deep with 20-30 petals and 20-30 petaloids. This variety is variable and produced 5% single blooms and 5% full peony forms. All petals are wavy, stiff and with a grained appearance. Blooms mid-season to late.
