New Zealand Camellia Bulletin, 1992, Issue No.111, vol.XVII, No.4, p.46, Reg. No.301. Originated by Les Jury, New Plymouth, as a seedling of Rendezvous. A vigorous upright plant with dark green leaves 8 cm long x 4 cm wide. Medium to large, red (RHS.CC.46B) flowers, formal double to peony, with 75+ petals and 10+ petaloids, 10 cm across x 5 cm deep. Mid-season blooming. This cultivar was awarded as an AGM (Award of Garden Merit) plant by the Royal Horticultural Society in 2002 at H5 rate (hardy: cold winter; -15°C to -10°C).
