International Camellia Journal, 2016, p.131. ‘Libby Snowdon’ (C. japonica), European Reg. No. 120. Open-pollinated seed from unknown parents. Originated in the U.K. by Malcolm Pharoah, at Marwood Hill Gardens, Barnstaple, Devon. First flowered 1995 at circa 14 years. An upright habit, with medium growth rate. Blooms mid-season; spent blooms fall whole. A medium-sized, loose peony bloom of about 30 petals, with sparse stamens. Petals pink-edged white with heavy pink veining; RHS Colour Chart red group 55A, changing to group 55B under protection. Leaves dark green, flat. Flower buds round, green. Named for the wife of the owner of Marwood Hill Gardens.
