Linjia Hongjie

Linjia Hongjie (C. azalea × C. azalea F1 new hybrid 'Xiayong Guose'). Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrations of the New Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and Technology Publishing House, p.293. HAR-08-8., a cross seedling (DGS-No.30) of C. azalea × C. azalea F1 new hybrid 'Xiayong Guose'. Flowers light red, gradually change into deep pink, single form, medium to large size, 9.5- 11.0cm across with 8 petals, petals obovate, stamens united into a short tube at the base, bloom dense. Leaves dark green, back surfaces pale green, leathery, narrow-long elliptic, urgently cuneate at the base, margins smooth. Plant spread, bushy, branches dense and growth vigorous. Starts to bloom from early- summer, fully blooms from autumn to winter and sporadically in spring. The cultivar name means “Neighbor's Red Sister”.
