American Camellia Yearbook, 1960, p.200, Reg. No.489: A 15 year old chance seedling that first bloomed 1950. Originated by Jon C. Campbell, Natchez, Mississippi, USA. Plant growth is average with dark green leaves, 8 cm x 5 cm. The cadmium red, semi-double flowers, 10 cm across x 6 cm deep, have 14 petals and yellow stamens. Flowers early to mid-sea­son.
